Who we are

Green South House Buyers is a family-owned, local cash home buyer based in Fairhope, Alabama. We buy houses across Baldwin County and Mobile County — Fairhope, Daphne, Spanish Fort, Foley, Robertsdale, Bay Minette, Gulf Shores, Mobile, Theodore, Semmes, Saraland — plus Atmore, the Pensacola area and the Baton Rouge region of Louisiana. We are not a national franchise and not a lead-generation site that sells your information: the people who answer the phone are the people who write the offer and sit at the closing table.

What we actually do

We buy houses as-is with our own funds and close on the date the seller chooses. Roof damage, foundation problems, fire or water damage, code violations, hoarder houses, tenants still in place, inherited houses, houses in probate, houses behind on payments or taxes — those are the calls we take every week. Some of the houses we buy we renovate and resell; some we keep and rent, including rent-to-own homes for local families. Our sister company, Gulf Coast Mobile Home Buyers, buys mobile and manufactured homes across Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle.

How we work

• You call, text or send the address. We look at the house in person or by video.
• You get a written offer, usually within 24 hours of the visit. It is built from local comparable sales minus repairs, holding and resale costs and our margin, shown line by line so you can question any of it.
• No repairs, no cleaning, no showings, no agent commission, no fees. Leave behind whatever you don’t want.
• Closing happens on your date. Liens, back taxes and mortgage payoffs are settled out of the proceeds at closing, not paid by you up front.

When you should not sell to us

If your house is in good shape, financeable and you have time, listing it with an agent will usually net you more, and we say so when it’s true. A cash sale to us makes sense when speed, certainty or the condition of the house matters more than squeezing out the last bit of price.
